Remote Embedded Android Specialist

I''m recruiting for a business in Gloucester who are looking for an Embedded Android Developer on a contract basis. The work involves developing an android application on custom hardware involving video pipeline/streaming.-

ROLE:-Embedded Android Developer

LOCATION: Remote (some travel to Gloucester/Hampshire)

RATE: up to -60ph

DURATION: 6 months

IR35: Outside

Skills required for the Embedded Android Engineer are:

• Embedded Android expertise on non-phone hardware (this is i.MX8 but any similar processors considered)
• Experience designing media/video applications on Android
• Proficiency and knowledge of hardware/software interface
• Working with minimal supervision

The following are beneficial:

• ATAK, iTAK, WinTAK or similar
• SC clearance (not essential)
• Embedded Linux-
• Video streaming protocols

REMOTE: The majority of the work can be done remotely with frequent travel to sites in Gloucester and Hampshire required.-
