Remedial Estimator

Marble Talent group is actively seeking a Remedial Estimator to join a client of ours based in Hampshire on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities
Quote Management
- Review and assess remedial service sheets to identify quoting requirements (batch or individual).
- Prepare high-quality, cost-competitive quotes within company margin targets.
- Maintain a 24-hour turnaround for all TBQ-status quotes in HubSpot.
- Proactively chase outstanding quotes to improve conversion rates.
Commercial and Technical Support
- Collaborate closely with the remedial delivery team to determine the most cost-effective delivery model (direct or subcontracted) before quoting.
- Provide technical advice to ensure estimates are accurate, achievable, and aligned with operational strategy.
Continuous Improvement
- Suggest and implement process improvements to increase the efficiency of remedial estimating.
Reporting & Collaboration
- Prepare dashboard updates for the Senior Management Team (SMT).
- Attend labour meetings and occasional client meetings to discuss remedial works.
Person Specification
Essential
- Proven experience in quoting mechanical and gas small works.
- Strong IT proficiency, especially in Microsoft Excel and CRM tools (HubSpot experience desirable).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Understanding of commercial margins and cost control.
Desirable
- Experience quoting HVAC remedial works or small, quick-turnaround projects.
- Hands-on mechanical or HVAC experience (''on the tools'').
- Familiarity with subcontractor pricing and direct delivery models.
