A vibrant secondary school is seeking a qualified Religious Education Teacher to lead engaging and thought-provoking RE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching KS5. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead thoughtful and engaging Religious Education lessons in line with the schoolandrsquo;s curriculum, primarily across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to include Key Stage 5 where appropriate.
- Encourage exploration of world religion and diverse worldviews, supporting pupils in developing empathy, critical thinking, and cultural awareness.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of learning styles and abilities, ensuring all pupils are appropriately challenged and supported.
- Monitor and evaluate pupil progress, offering constructive feedback and maintaining accurate assessment records.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues in the humanities department, contributing to resource sharing, planning, and cross-curricular initiatives.
- Foster a respectful, inclusive, and inquisitive classroom environment that nurtures open dialogue and curiosity.
- Maintain clear and positive communication with parents and carers, while supporting pupilsandrsquo; overall wellbeing and personal development.
Ideal Candidate:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with proven capability to deliver Religious Education in a UK secondary school context.
- Experienced in planning and delivering RE lessons, with a solid understanding of curriculum requirements, assessment frameworks, and examination board expectations.
- Demonstrates confident classroom leadership and clear, effective communication skills.
- Dedicated to supporting pupils'' wider development, including their spiritual, moral, social, and cultural growth.
- Skilled in using a variety of engaging teaching approaches to inspire and involve learners across different abilities and backgrounds.
