Relief HGV Driver

Our client are a well respected Builders Merchants proving building supplies to a mixture of commercial and residential sites across the Kent region.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Relief Driver to join their busy branch near the Margate area in Kent.

The role will be mostly based in the Yard as a Yard Operative where you will use a counterbalance forklift to load and unload the HGV HIAB vehicles in preparation for deliveries to be made, and to unload deliveries coming onto the Yard.- Additionally, you will assist with customer enquiries on the yard and help put purchases onto the customers'' vehicles.-

The branch has 3 HIAB vehicles and you will be responsible for covering all periods of absence from the drivers whether that be holidays or sickness cover.- There will be a minimum of 16 weeks of Driving cover but this could be significantly more if the need arises.- You do not need to have your HIAB as the company are happy to train and put you through your ticket, however a HGV license is essential for you to be able to fulfil the role.

Our client are offering a starting basic salary of -35k (DOE) with bonus, pension, 31 days holiday, company discounts, and employee benefits programme also associated with the role.
