Relief Cook 13.69 an hour Stoke-on-Trent Contract type: Relief / to work as and when required Do you have a passion for great food and excellent customer service? We''re looking for a Relief Cook to provide flexible support across our Independent Living Villages, stepping in whenever our catering teams need an extra pair of hands. You''ll help deliver a high-quality, cost-effective catering service by preparing and serving nutritious meals, maintaining excellent standards and creating positive dining experiences for the customers who call our villages home. What you''ll do: Prepare and serve delicious, nutritious meals to a high standard. Support the smooth running of our kitchens, restaurants and bistros. Maintain excellent food hygiene, health and safety standards. Monitor stock levels and help minimise waste to deliver a cost-effective service. Work closely with colleagues to provide a welcoming dining experience for customers. Provide flexible cover across our Independent Living Villages as and when required. Support the day-to-day running of the kitchen in the absence of the Catering Team Leader. Guide and support Catering Assistants in delivering a high-quality service. Who you are: You hold a Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification or above (or are willing to refresh your training where required). You have demonstrable experience in a similar catering role.
