      <description>Location: Aberdeenshire | Salary: &amp;pound;55000/annum | Type: Permanent | Reliability Engineer    The Role:        The Electronic Engineering department are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Reliability Engineer to join our team. The successful applicant will work primarily within the Electronics R&amp;D team to address product reliability challenges and qualify materials and electronic components for high reliability applications.        Main Duties:    Track, review and investigate product and component reliability issues. Report on investigation findings and provide suggestions for improvement.  Work with engineering, production and quality assurance to assess internal and external reliability issues.  Carry out critical component reviews to identify obsolescence or lead-time risks  Implement appropriate electronic component qualification to address design or manufacturing requirements.  Maintain clear documentation in relation to component test and reliability issues to ensure risks are communicated and addressed  Develop a knowledge of Metrol''s high reliability design and manufacturing techniques.
