Regulatory Reporting Engineer, Python, SQL

A leading organisation is seeking a Regulatory Reporting Engineer to join their team on a contract basis, working onsite in London. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing technology solutions that address global trade and transaction reporting requirements. You will work closely with engineering, compliance, operations, and business stakeholders to ensure that regulatory obligations are translated into robust, scalable technical implementations. Your primary responsibilities will include designing, developing, testing, and deploying regulatory reporting applications and data pipelines. You will build solutions that model complex trading workflows and business processes, and maintain systems that support global reporting standards. Investigating reporting exceptions, reconciling data discrepancies, and implementing automated solutions to enhance accuracy and efficiency will be key aspects of your role. You will also optimise data processing frameworks and support the full software development lifecycle, including production monitoring and troubleshooting. Leveraging modern data engineering technologies and AI-enabled workflows to improve automation and control frameworks is expected.
