Due to an internal move, we have an opportunity for a Casework Manager to join our International Registration team. If you offer proven management experience, this position offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining public confidence in dental services and protecting the safety of patients.

As International Registration Casework Manager, you will lead the International Registration Casework Team, which ensures that only dental professionals who meet the General Dental Council (GDC) requirements on education and training, health, good character, and English language are admitted to the GDC’s registers.

You will ensure the team is high-performing, target driven, and all quality checks and information is verified, accurate and consistent with relevant policy and legislation when processing applications for dental professionals to join the GDC’s registers.

Your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Managing, motivating, and monitoring the team to ensure all work is undertaken effectively.
  • Analysing and interpreting complex information regarding dental professionals.
  • Ensuring the team maintains compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
  • Ensuring that we have the latest information and are delivering an efficient and fair service.
  • Making informed judgements and decisions on cases relating to professional qualifications and experience, and health and character issues.
  • Developing and implementing continuous improvement and best working practices across the registration process. 

Person Specification:

You will need proven experience in:  

  • Casework management and working with committees or panels.
  • Line management, including developing colleagues within their roles.
  • Applying legislation to procedures.
  • Leading, developing and managing multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Investigative, analytical and problem-solving to identify issues, propose solutions.
  • Customer service delivery.
  • Prioritising and organising a busy, varied, and complex workload.
