Overview

The Vet Centre is a two-site practice seeking a energetic, compassionate, and hard-working Registered Veterinary Nurse to join on a 12 month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for general nursing duties, including nurse clinics, anaesthesia, and patient care. Carry out general nursing duties including nurse clinics, anaesthesia, and patient care.Provide support in a busy practice with a varied caseload.Work alongside vets and receptionists, and contribute to delivering exceptional clinical care.Engage in training opportunities as the practice collaborates with the college of animal welfare and supports nurses to become clinical coaches for students.Contribute to the team as part of a 40-hour per week schedule on a 12 month fixed-term contract.Working pattern

Full-time 40 hours per week, spread over 4 or 5 days.Shift patterns between 8:00 am and 6:30 pm.1:5 Saturday rota from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm with time off in lieu.No out-of-hours work included.Practice details

The practice operates from two sites: the main site at Maids Moreton, Buckingham, and a branch at Cherry Lane Garden Centre, Potterspury, Towcester. It is a well-equipped, RCVS-accredited practice performing cardiac scans, endoscopy, laparoscopic spays, and dental x-rays.What you will bring

A qualified RVN with experience in first opinion veterinary care.Ability to work independently at times alongside a vet and receptionist, and as part of a busy team.Self-motivated, a team player, professional, with integrity, compassion, and effective communication skills.Willingness to engage with training and development opportunities as part of a teaching practice supporting students.Benefits and development
