Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Wakefield Council''s Children''s Services for a Short Break Registered Manager. The Ofsted registered home forms part of Wakefield Council''s wider SEND offer, and is currently rated GOOD. We are looking for a motivated and inspirational leader who can continue the journey to achieving outstanding outcomes for the children within our care. Star House provides planned and sometimes emergency short break for up to 7 children with complex health, learning, physical and or sensory needs. Children may also present challenging behaviours.Applicants should have a good understanding of the Children\''s Homes Standards and Regulations 2015 and the inspection framework (SCCIF). Within the last 5 years applicants should have at least 2 years experience of working with children and young people, and at least 1 year experience of working at a senior level. Applicants should be at least qualified to Diploma level 3 in children and young people and or equivalent, and be willing to undertake the Diploma Level 5 qualification within 2 years of commencing the position.Why choose Wakefield Council
