OverviewApplications are invited from competent, able practitioners who wish to provide dynamic support to the theatre Trauma and Orthopaedic team. The operating department includes 16 in-patient theatres within the Division plus the Surgical Day Unit (3 GA theatres and Paediatric Day facility).

Trauma and Orthopaedic Scrub experience essential. Out of hours and oncall cover required. This post may close at sufficient applicants.

Theatres and ServicesThe theatres provide an operating service to the following clinical specialities: General Surgery, Gynaecology, Urology, Obstetrics, Plastic Surgery, Orthopaedics, Maxillo-facial, Robotic Surgery, Neurosurgery, ENT and IVF. There is also provision for 2 x dedicated emergency theatres and 2 x dedicated Trauma theatres within the complex.

Development and SkillsThe division is committed to staff development and offers an excellent competency based training package. Good communication and organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential to this post.

Eligibility and SponsorshipIt is now the policy of South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that all successful candidates who are new to the Trust who require DBS clearance for the post they have been offered, are required to pay the cost of their DBS. The method of payment for this is via salary deduction from your first month''s pay.
