The Alasdair Macdonald Acute Medical Unit (AMU) is a 25 bed high acuity unit focusing on acute medicine, with a strong multidisciplinary approach to healthcare. Additionally, it provides community health, mental health, and primary healthcare services to the Tasmanian community through more than 300 sites.The Role

Strengthens health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other health professionals.Practice in accordance with the NMBA codes and guidelines for registered nurses and midwives.Contribute to the maintenance and promotion of a safe work environment.In collaboration with members of the healthcare team plan, implement and evaluate patient/client care.Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a strong team approach through open communication and a positive supportive approach.Note: Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.Why Tasmania

Permanent part time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working up to 53.2 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed upon date.*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.Salary

$78,179 to $105,995 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.Access to the Grade 4 salary range $99,455-$105,995 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4.In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification typeSalary Packaging
