Cygnet Healthcare are looking for a confident experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) MAT Cover with a passion for delivering outstanding care to join our team at Cygnet Hospital Oldbury.

At Cygnet Hospital Oldbury you will be working 42 hours per week (07:45 AM/PM till 08:00 AM/PM) including days/nights and alternative weekends.

This role is a MAT Cover position.

It will be a a minimum of 12 month contract.

Cygnet Hospital Oldbury is our new state-of-the-art PICU and Acute hospital for women, in the West Midlands.

The service has two wards, a 12-bed PICU ward and a 15-bed Acute ward.

Cygnet Hospital Oldbury has a full multi-disciplinary team (MDT) and supports the acute needs of adults requiring rapid access to mental health services, including those who may need an intensive care environment.

We’re focused on length of stay and making sure individuals move as quickly and safely as possible from our services to the most appropriate and least restrictive environment for them.

Individuals can step down through the pathways available within Cygnet services.

Your day-to-day at Cygnet Hospital Oldbury… Produce outstanding written reports based on your nursing assessments and observations Work closely with the management team to develop the service, audit, and improve quality Attend all training and engage in CPD to further knowledge and promote nursing Under NMC guidelines, ensure that individual care plans are complete and maintained collectively with patients, relatives and other healthcare professionals Safe administration of medication as per local and national guidelines Provide effective direction and support to junior members of the team Essential: An experienced RMN with a current PIN Number The ability to maintain documentation, undertake audits and demonstrate integrity in your role A good understanding of the latest nursing practices A commitment to patient recovery in order to effectively monitor, manage and reduce risk Compassion, resilience and a dedication to empower and support service user independence Desirable: The ability to deputise in a managerial role Previous experience of working in a PICU / ACUTE setting Why Cygnet?
