Registered Manager – CQC Regulated Care

Are you an experienced Registered Manager looking for a role where your professional judgement genuinely matters?

We’re looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead on safety, safeguarding, quality and regulatory compliance within an established CQC-regulated adult social care service.

This is a role with real autonomy and influence. You won’t be responsible for every aspect of day-to-day operations – instead, you’ll have the independence to focus on what matters most: ensuring care is safe, compliant, high quality and centred around the people receiving it.

The role You’ll take the lead on:

• CQC registration, compliance and inspection activity
• Safeguarding, serious incidents and statutory notifications
• High-risk and complex care packages
• Carer suitability, competence and safeguarding concerns
• Complaints, duty of candour and learning from incidents
• Quality audits, governance and corrective actions
• Mental Capacity Act, consent, dignity and people''s rights
• Safe staffing, training and competency
• Clinical oversight alongside the Nursing Manager
• Working with families, local authorities and healthcare professionals

You’ll also be the calm, visible and approachable voice for quality and safety, creating an environment where clients, families and staff feel comfortable speaking up.

About you

You must have previous Registered Manager experience within a CQC-regulated adult social care service.

You’ll also need:

• Level 5 Leadership & Management for Adult Care (or equivalent)
• A strong track record of positive CQC outcomes, ideally within a Good or Outstanding-rated service
• Experience managing safeguarding and incident investigations, including statutory notifications
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding, MCA and duty of candour
• Excellent judgement and the confidence to make difficult decisions
• The ability to influence and hold others to account
• Excellent communication skills and high emotional intelligence

Experience in live-in care, care for older people in their own homes or a service with a nursing element would be advantageous.
