Registered Manager - Domiciliary Care

Watford

• Up to -45,000 base salary, depending on experience
• Up to -12,000 annual performance bonus
• Additional -2,500 first-year advanced bonus

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a large, established domiciliary care branch in Watford.

The branch is currently delivering over 1,000 hours of care per week, making this a significant operation and an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager who enjoys leading a busy service and making a genuine impact.

We are looking for a confident, visible and hands-on leader who can take ownership of the branch, support and develop their team, and maintain high standards across quality, compliance, customer experience and commercial performance.

The Role

As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation and performance of the branch.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading a large and busy domiciliary care service
• Maintaining strong CQC compliance, governance and quality standards
• Overseeing care delivery across Watford and the surrounding areas
• Managing recruitment, retention, allocations and workforce capacity
• Leading safeguarding, audits, quality assurance and continuous improvement
• Coaching, supporting and developing the branch team
• Managing performance and confidently handling difficult conversations
• Ensuring actions and priorities are followed through and completed on time
• Maintaining an excellent experience for customers and their families
• Driving sustainable growth while protecting quality and service standards
• Managing the commercial and operational performance of the branch

You will be supported by an established branch team, including a full-time Care Coordinator, full-time Care Training Practitioner and part-time Care Training Practitioner, with additional recruitment underway to further strengthen the team.

About You

We are looking for an experienced CQC Registered Manager with a strong background in domiciliary care.

You will ideally have:

• Experience managing a sizeable domiciliary care service
• Current or previous experience as a CQC Registered Manager
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding, governance and compliance
• Experience managing a busy care workforce and branch operation
• A visible, hands-on leadership style
• Strong experience across recruitment, retention, care delivery and quality
• The confidence to manage performance and hold people accountable
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills
• Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of growth and profitability
• Level 5 Leadership & Management for Adult Care, or equivalent, preferred

Most importantly, you will genuinely care about the people receiving support, take pride in the service you manage and have the confidence and experience to lead a large branch effectively.

Salary & Package

• The role offers a base salary of up to -45,000, dependent on experience.
• In addition, there is an annual performance bonus of up to -12,000, linked to agreed KPIs and branch performance.
• There is also an additional -2,500 first-year advanced bonus, paid in two stages:
• -1,250 following successful completion of probation, typically after three months
• -1,250 following successful completion of 12 months'' continuous employment
• This is a one-off first-year payment and is paid alongside any other bonus earned.
• At the maximum base salary and bonus achievement, the total first-year package can reach up to -59,500:
• -45,000 base + -12,000 performance bonus + -2,500 first-year advanced bonus.
