An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and driven Registered Manager to lead a newly established care home in the heart of Kendal. The Role
As Registered Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the service to achieve and maintain high regulatory standards
- Building, developing, and motivating a dedicated care team
- Establishing a positive, values-led culture within the home
- Overseeing care planning, risk management, and quality assurance processes
- Managing staffing, rotas, recruitment, and performance
- Ensuring full compliance with all regulatory and safeguarding requirements
- Driving continuous improvement and preparing for inspections
- Developing strong relationships with residents, families, and external professionals
About the Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Registered Manager with a proven track record of successfully managing care services and achieving positive inspection outcomes.
They will demonstrate:
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or equivalent)
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager within a care setting
- A strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance
- The ability to lead from the front and establish credibility quickly
- Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills
- A proactive, resilient approach with the ability to manage change effectively
- A genuine passion for delivering high-quality care and improving lives
