Registered Manager

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Manager to take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of a medium-sized elderly care home in Fareham. The home is part of an established family-owned care provider with several homes across Kent.

We are seeking a confident and compassionate manager to lead and develop the team, ensuring residents receive high-quality, person-centred care within a safe and supportive environment. You will be responsible for maintaining CQC compliance, driving quality standards and ensuring the effective day-to-day running of the home

Key Responsibilities of the Registered Manager

• Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and smooth running of the home.
• Ensure residents receive safe, effective and person-centred care that promotes dignity, choice and independence.
• Lead, motivate and develop the care team to maintain consistently high standards of care.
• Ensure the home remains compliant with CQC regulations, legislation and relevant care standards.
• Monitor and maintain quality standards through audits, assessments and regular reviews.
• Oversee care planning and ensure records and documentation are accurate and up to date.
• Manage safeguarding concerns, incidents, complaints and risk assessments appropriately.
• Support recruitment, induction, supervision, training and performance management of staff.
• Build positive relationships with residents, relatives, healthcare professionals and external agencies.
• Promote a positive and supportive culture throughout the home.
• Work closely with the wider management team to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous development.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels and effective deployment of staff to meet residents'' needs.
• Take responsibility for maintaining a safe, welcoming and well-run environment for residents and staff.

• Previous experience working as a Registered Manager within an elderly residential care setting.
• Proven experience leading and managing a care team.
• Strong understanding of CQC requirements and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with care planning, audits, safeguarding and quality monitoring.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• A compassionate and person-centred approach to care.
• Ability to build strong relationships with residents, relatives and professionals.
• Relevant Level 4/5 qualification in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, or willingness to work towards this.
• A strong understanding of the needs of older people and the delivery of high-quality residential care.

• Salary of up to -45,000 per year.
