Description

Join a small, family-run business dedicated to providing high-quality care for children and committed to staff growth and development. We are expanding, adding a second children''s residential home before the end of the year, and are seeking a passionate and driven Registered Manager to join our team in central Carlisle.

  • Position: Registered Manager
  • Shift: 40 hours per week plus on-call requirements
  • Salary: -40,000 starting salary (negotiable based on experience) + annual bonuses based on company performance
  • Location: Central Carlisle

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and management for our children''s residential home(s).
  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulations and quality standards (OFSTED).
  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of experienced care professionals (working alongside Team Managers).
  • Develop and oversee individualized care plans tailored to children''s needs.
  • Foster a nurturing and safe environment focused on emotional well-being and safeguarding.
  • Manage resources effectively, overseeing budgets and operational responsibilities.
  • Build strong relationships with external agencies, families, and the local community.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and expansion of our services.


Qualifications

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it).
  • Proven experience (minimum 2 years) as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a children''s residential setting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of OFSTED regulations and quality standards.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • A deep passion for making a positive impact on young people''s lives.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the changing needs of the home.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage challenging situations.
