This is not simply a new home with the word “therapeutic” attached to it. The provider has developed a structured therapeutic framework designed to shape how the home operates from day one, how staff understand behaviour, how they respond to young people and how learning is carried into care planning, supervision and everyday practice. At the heart of the model is one simple principle: Every behaviour has a story. The Registered Manager - Children’s Residential Home will lead a team that is encouraged to look beyond the behaviour itself and understand what may be happening underneath it, including trauma, attachment, emotional regulation, fear, unmet need and communication.
