Our client, a well regarded and high performing provider of residential care for children and young people, is looking to appoint an experienced, passionate and inspirational Registered Manager to lead one of their homes. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and values driven leader who is dedicated to delivering outstanding standards of care and support.
As Registered Manager, you will play a pivotal role in creating a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment where young people can thrive, develop and achieve positive outcomes. You will lead and inspire a committed staff team, driving a culture of excellence, continuous improvement and child centred practice.
What you''ll be doing:
- Lead and develop a warm, nurturing, and safe home environment where children feel valued, supported, and able to thrive.
- Ensure all aspects of care meet the highest standards, with effective implementation of each child''s individual Placement Plan.
- Work collaboratively with health, education, and therapeutic professionals to support children''s development and wellbeing.
- Maintain full compliance with Children''s Homes Regulations and Ofsted SCCIF, ensuring the home operates to the highest regulatory and professional standards.
- Inspire, support, and develop your team through regular supervision, training, and performance management.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including safeguarding, health & safety, and accurate record-keeping.
- Promote a positive culture centred on openness, inclusivity, diversity, and anti-discriminatory practice.
- Manage budgets, occupancy, and staffing rotas while ensuring the home remains a safe, clean, and homely environment.
What you''ll bring:
- NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Proven experience leading and developing teams within a residential childcare setting.
- Strong organisational, IT, and time management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of safeguarding, children''s legislation, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Ability to build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and external professionals.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and undertake sleep-in duties when required.
- Existing Ofsted registration as a Registered Manager (or eligibility to achieve this).
