A Luton based children and young people’s service is looking for a dynamic Registered Children’s Home Manager to lead their team in a residential care. The service offers a safe, and nurturing home for young people aged 16+ who require support relating to their mental health and wellbeing.As Registered Children’s Home Manager, you’ll be managing the team’s activities, assuring compliance with regulatory and legal requirements and maintaining effective safeguarding and welfare measures. Your leadership will help ensure residents receive extensive support to build their confidence and independent living skills in a tailored environment, with access to positive, constructive opportunities for development and self-expression. You’ll be able to make a real, tangible difference to the young people in your care while taking further opportunities for your professional recognition and progression. Essential
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential ChildcareEssential
Previous registration with a relevant governing bodyEssential
Valid driving licence and access to vehicle (for travel between local homes) {currently 1 but plans to expand}Desirable
At least 2 years’ experience as a residential care managerIn-depth knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements for children’s homes.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong leadership and team management abilities.Ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and families.Sound problem-solving and decision-making skills.Duties
