Registered Building Inspector

Opus People Solutions are hiring for a Registered Building Inspector within a Local Authority client based in Shropshire. The role is 37 hours per week, offering hybrid working with a mixture of home working and site attendance, and £50 per hour umbrella, with a contract length of 6 months+. Please see a high-level overview of what the position involves below: Undertaking plan checking and plan assessments for a range of building projects Carrying out site inspections to ensure compliance with Building Regulations and associated legislation Working across domestic, commercial and more complex developments Providing Building Control advice to applicants, agents and stakeholders Supporting enforcement activities relating to the Building Act 1984, Building Regulations, dangerous structures and demolitions Maintaining accurate records and ensuring statutory deadlines are met Working collaboratively within a high-performing Building Control team The ideal candidate will have experience with: Registered Building Inspector status with the Building Safety Regulator at a minimum Class 2D level Full membership of MRICS, MCABE or MCIOB Extensive Building Regulations knowledge and practical application Full plan checking and site inspection experience Building Control experience across a range of construction projects Strong communication, organisational and IT skills Previous experience within Local Government If this role is of interest to you, please submit a copy of your CV ..... full job details .....
