Regional Sales Manager (South) – Primary Switchgear
Location: Home-based with regular travel across Southern UK (territory covering South Birmingham and below)
Base: hybrid/home-based
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Regional Sales Manager to join a leading manufacturer within the electrical distribution sector. This is a key role focused on driving sales growth across Southern UK, with a particular emphasis on expanding the Primary Switchgear offering.
You'll take ownership of a well-established territory, managing key customer relationships while identifying and developing new business opportunities. Working closely with internal technical, tendering and customer service teams, you'll play a vital role in delivering ambitious sales targets and supporting long-term business growth.
The Role
Reporting into the Industrial Sales Team, you will:
- Manage and grow sales across an assigned Southern UK territory.
- Promote a comprehensive range of medium and low voltage electrical distribution products, with a strong focus on Primary Switchgear.
- Develop strategic relationships with both new and existing customers.
- Maximise opportunities within key accounts while identifying new business.
- Lead and support one Sales Engineer within the territory.
- Work collaboratively with Tendering, Technical and Customer Service teams to deliver outstanding customer solutions.
- Achieve and exceed sales, profitability and growth targets.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline activity.
- Travel throughout the UK as required, with occasional international travel.
About You
We're looking for a commercially driven sales professional who combines technical knowledge with excellent relationship-building skills.
Essential experience
- Proven success in technical field sales.
- Strong knowledge of LV/MV electrical equipment.
- Demonstrable experience selling Primary Switchgear (essential).
- Experience working with or selling into DNOs, IDNOs, EPCs or related utility markets.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Based within the Southern UK region.
