Regional Health and Safety Coordinator

All About the RoleWe have a new career opportunity available for an experienced Health and Safety Coordinator to work within the Group Health and Safety Team to develop and promote a positive culture across the business, this will include developing and supporting the implementation of the Group Safety Management System, providing professional support to several key sites including Scunthorpe, Rotherham, Bradford, Newark and Middlesbrough; Working closely with the site management teams and business heads to ensure that all areas of HandS legislation, policy, strategy are implemented at site level to keep our teams safe.This is a hands on role and whilst the role will be a regional one with travel, initially you will be seconded to one of our Scunthorpe sites to oversee the expansion and refurbishment of an exciting new development. Specific tasks will include:Ensuring site compliance with Group policies and with all relevant legislationTo develop and implement Group Health and Safety Improvement PlansAct as focal point for reporting, communication, tracking of all defect reports and HandS improvement actionsHelp to identify and share best practices throughout the Group and to foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout the business in respect of the overall Health and Safety Management SystemProvide guidance and support to operations staff for Risk Assessments, local safe working procedures and incident investigationsTo record and analyse incidents and HandS ..... full job details .....
