Regional GL Accountant

We''re recruiting for an experienced GL Accountant / General Ledger Accountant to join the Northern Europe finance function of a global organisationBased in Banbury, this GL Accountant role will have a primary focus on the UK and Ireland whilst working across the wider regional finance structure, offering excellent international exposureThis is a technical accounting role with responsibility for financial accuracy, statutory compliance and controls, including ownership of VAT and Corporation Tax calculations. The finance structure continues to evolve, so you''ll also have the opportunity to identify improvements, challenge existing processes and help create greater structureThe GL Accountant RoleYou''ll take responsibility for:General Ledger accounting and high-level balance sheet reconciliationsMonth-end and year-end closeStatutory annual financial reporting and year-end accountsVAT and Corporation Tax calculations and complianceInternal and external audit coordinationAccruals, cost centre reposting''s and intercompany/regional rechargesTreasury, cash, payroll and benefits accountingReviewing accounting activity completed through centralised/shared finance functionsInternal controls, accounting policies and complianceIdentifying process improvements and resolving complex accounting queriesWorking with the Regional Accounting Service Manager and finance stakeholders across the UK, Ireland and Northern EuropeAbout YouWe''re looking for a technically strong GL Accountant / ..... full job details .....
