Refuse / Recycling LoaderWork for - Huntingdonshire District Council Hours of work:Monday to Friday - 6:00 am - 2:00 pm Pay: 13.64 per hour Key Responsibilities: Collect domestic and commercial waste/recycling from designated locations (bins, bags, boxes, etc.). Operate the bin lift and vehicle equipment safely; report any faults to the driver. Assist the driver with daily vehicle checks and report defects during the round. Ensure collections are completed neatly; clean any spillages immediately. Collect bulky waste items as directed. Deliver and replace wheeled bins; leave them safely with correct information for residents. Deliver new waste sacks as required. Assist with vehicle manoeuvring during collections and at disposal points. Follow instructions from the Refuse Recycling Driver at all times. Respond to public queries; provide basic information or direct appropriately. Follow waste policies, including bin rejection procedures and required notifications. Attach service-related leaflets or notices to bins when required. Support team members, including new and agency staff. Report near misses, accidents, and incidents promptly. Assist with record-keeping and provide information for in-cab systems. Work in line with risk assessments and safe working practices. Carry out any other duties appropriate to the role.
