Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are recruiting for Public Waste Collectors / Refuse Loaders to support a busy local authority waste management operation on a temporary, ongoing basis.This is a physically active outdoor role involving the collection of household and recycling waste across the local area. Candidates must be comfortable working in all weather conditions and starting work early in the morning.The Role: Collecting household waste and recycling from residential and public locationsLoading and unloading bins onto refuse and tipper vehiclesDriving a council vehicle between collection points when requiredWorking as part of a refuse collection and waste management teamEnsuring all waste is handled safely and efficientlyProviding a professional and positive service to the public Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence required we cannot consider candidates without a FULL UK Driving Licence and own transport Ability to commute for early morning starts from 6:00amPhysically fit and comfortable carrying out manual handling dutiesReliable, punctual and able to work as part of a teamPrevious experience within refuse collection, waste management, recycling or outdoor manual work is beneficial but not essentialImmediate starts available Pay and Benefits: £13.29 per hourOvertime paid at enhanced ratesOngoing temporary work with long-term opportunitiesMonday to Friday day shiftsEarly finishes on most shiftsSupportive team environment If you are looking for ongoing work ..... full job details .....
