Job Title: Refuse Loader

Location: Bedford

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour, increasing to £12.85 per hour after 13 weeks

Hours: Monday to Friday, 6am start, job and finish (ongoing agency work)

Are you looking for reliable work, early starts and a role that keeps you active? We are recruiting on behalf of the local council's waste management department for Refuse Loaders to join their hardworking team in Bedford.

As a Refuse Loader, you will be a key part of the crew, helping to keep the community clean and safe. This is a physical role where no 2 days are the same and you will be working outdoors in all weather conditions.

What you'll be doing

• Collecting household waste and recycling across Bedford

• Working as part of a close knit team of refuse loaders and drivers

• Handling bins, bags and containers safely and efficiently

• Supporting the smooth running of daily waste management operations

What we're looking for

• Good physical health and fitness, as this is a physically demanding role

• Team players with a positive attitude and willingness to work outdoors

• Previous experience as a Refuse Loader, Waste Operative, Bin Loader or Recycling Operative would be an advantage, but is not essential

This role could suit candidates who have previously worked as a Refuse Loader, Bin Loader, Waste Operative, Recycling Operative, Environmental Operative, Street Cleansing Operative, Waste Collection Operative, Recycling Loader, General Labourer or Collections Operative.
