IMH Recruitment are currently seeking reliable-Waste Collection Operatives-to work for our client in-Barnsley-to start on ASAP.

You will be working for the Commercial Services dealing with the collection of household waste on the bulky collection scheme.

Key Duties:

• Assisting with daily household waste collections
• Operating mechanical bin lifting equipment
• Working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Carrying out physically demanding tasks safely
• Supporting the driver and supervisor to meet daily schedules
• Being polite and customer-focused when dealing with members of the public
• Following Health & Safety procedures at all times
• Using basic ICT systems to complete electronic records where required

Essential Requirements:

• Able to get employment references to cover 3 years employment history before your start date.
• Driving licence is preferred or must live local to depot.
• Experience working individually or as part of a team
• Experience in waste management or a similar operational environment
• Good understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude to work
• Ability to follow verbal, written, and electronic instructions

Additional Information:

• This is a-safety-critical role-and is subject to Drug & Alcohol Testing
• Willingness to undertake training and work flexibly as required
• Must be reliable and committed to delivering a quality service

Desirable (but not essential):

• Manual Handling training
• Needle Stick training
• IOSH Working Safely
• Full UK driving licence (Category B+E)

Hours:

• Normally Tuesday to Friday
• 6am - 15:45pm.
• -13.26 per hour
• Weekly pay whilst through the agency!
