Refuse Loader

We are currently looking for a reliable and hardworking-Refuse Loader / Waste Collection Operative-to join our team. This role involves working as part of a waste collection crew, supporting the driver with the safe and efficient collection of-general waste, recycling, and food waste-from residential and commercial areas.

This is a physically active role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the-collection of refuse and food waste-along designated routes
• Load and empty waste bins safely into collection vehicles
• Ensure all waste is handled in line with health and safety procedures
• Work closely with the driver and team members to complete daily collection rounds efficiently
• Maintain awareness of surroundings to ensure safe working practices at all times
• Report any issues or hazards to the supervisor or driver

Requirements

• Ability to perform-heavy lifting and manual handling-throughout the shift
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
• Previous experience in waste collection, loading, or similar work is beneficial but-not essential-as training will be provided
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
