Refrigeration Engineer
We are working with a long-established and highly respected refrigeration and building services contractor that employs over 70 people across the business. Due to continued growth they are looking to recruit a Refrigeration Engineer to join their experienced team.

The role is predominantly refrigeration-focused, with some air conditioning work, covering a diverse customer base including restaurants, food production facilities, retail outlets, dental practices and commercial premises throughout Greater London.
Key Responsibilities as Refrigeration Engineer
- Service, maintain and repair commercial refrigeration systems.
- Carry out fault finding and diagnostics on refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.
- Install and commission refrigeration equipment when required.
- Repair and maintain compressors, condensers, evaporators and control systems.
- Complete service reports and maintenance documentation accurately.
- Participate in the on-call rota (1 week in 4).
- Support junior engineers and apprentices where required.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with current regulations.
What We''re Looking for in a Refrigeration Engineer
- Proven experience working as a Refrigeration Engineer.
- Valid F-Gas certification.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience servicing and maintaining commercial refrigeration systems.
- Good understanding of refrigeration controls and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Proactive and professional approach to work.
Desirable experience as Refrigeration Engineer
- Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems (training can be provided if required).
- Air conditioning service and maintenance experience.
- Experience mentoring apprentices or junior engineers.
