Valued Hire Group are currently recruiting for an experienced Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineer to join our client’s team, covering Berkshire and surrounding areas with regular travel to customer sites.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled engineer who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and providing excellent customer service.

The Role

You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, servicing and repairing refrigeration and associated equipment at customer sites. You will also support the company’s 24-hour service operation, including participation in the standby and emergency call-out rota.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, maintain and repair refrigeration and associated equipment.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently to minimise customer downtime.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Attend customer sites and represent the company professionally.
• Complete all work safely and in accordance with company procedures and industry standards.
• Complete accurate service reports, job sheets and other required documentation.
• Participate in the standby and emergency call-out rota.
• Work additional hours, weekends and public holidays where required.
• Travel throughout the UK and, where necessary, overseas.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, PPE and equipment to a high standard.
• Complete mandatory training and maintain all required professional qualifications and accreditations.
• Build and maintain excellent customer relationships.
• Support colleagues and undertake additional duties where required.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience working as a Refrigeration and/or Air Conditioning Engineer.
• Strong technical and fault-finding abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and a professional approach.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• A strong commitment to health and safety.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to travel and participate in the standby/call-out rota.
• All relevant professional qualifications and accreditations for the role.
