Red Hat/Linux Administrator Hybrid - Stevenage (3 days per week mandatory) or Portsmouth Active SC Clearance Required The Role As a Red Hat/Linux Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting engineering infrastructure, ensuring the stability, performance and availability of Linux-based environments. Working within an ITIL-aligned support function, you will provide day-to-day operational support while also contributing to infrastructure enhancements, project delivery and continuous improvement initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Linux professional who enjoys working across both BAU operations and project-based engineering activities within a collaborative technical team. Key Responsibilities Engineering Infrastructure Operations Maintain, monitor and optimise Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments. Perform routine administration, patching and system maintenance. Ensure high levels of platform availability, stability and performance. Support continuous service improvement initiatives. Investigate and resolve incidents, problems and service requests within agreed SLAs. Work within an ITIL-based support environment. Troubleshoot Linux operating systems and associated infrastructure. Collaborate with service desk, infrastructure and engineering teams to resolve technical issues. Support infrastructure design, planning, testing and implementation activities.
