Full job description Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Recycling Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sorting, processing, and managing recyclable materials in a safe and efficient manner. The position is a hands-on role. Responsibilities Sort and separate recyclable plastic materials according to company standards. Operate recycling machinery and equipment safely, adhering to health and safety protocols. Load and unload materials manually or using mechanical aids, ensuring proper handling of heavy items. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the recycling area to promote safety and efficiency. Follow all environmental regulations and company policies regarding waste management and recycling procedures. Requirements Prior experience or knowledge of plastic recycling machinery and industry is an advantage but not essential. As full training can be given to the right candidate. Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and carry out manual tasks involving lifting and bending. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in sorting processes.
