Recycling Operative Location: Park Road, Belfast BT7Pay Rate: 14.35 per hour Job Type: Temporary, Part-TimeDuration: 3 months +Start Date: August 2026 Hatched Recruitment are currently recruiting Recycling Operatives on behalf of Belfast City Council''s Waste Management Service. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in waste management, recycling, customer service, or similar operational environments. The Role:As a Recycling Operative, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of a recycling centre, assisting members of the public and ensuring waste materials are managed safely and effectively. Duties will include:Advising and assisting members of the public with the correct disposal and segregation of recyclable materialsEnsuring the recycling centre is maintained in a clean and safe conditionMonitoring waste materials and ensuring compliance with site proceduresSupporting contractors and site operations where requiredCarrying out health and safety checks and reporting any issuesOperating equipment and assisting with general site dutiesProviding a high standard of customer service at all times Hours of Work:The role operates on a rota basis: Example Summer hours (1 April - 30 September):Sunday: 11:45am - 5:15pmWednesday: 1:15pm - 8:15pm (every other Wednesday)Saturday: 8:45am - 5:15pm Additional overtime may be available during busy periods such as Christmas, New Year, Easter and summer.
