Recycling Operative

Our client is a recognised leader in sustainable waste reduction, specialising in the recovery and recycling of mattresses that would otherwise end up in landfill. Their operation plays an important role in reducing environmental impact, and they are looking for reliable, hardworking individuals to join their team in Blackburn. This role suits people who are practical, physically capable, and motivated to work in a structured, target-driven environment. The Role As a Recycling Operative, you will be part of a team responsible for dismantling and processing mattresses so materials can be recovered and reused. Your responsibilities will include: Dismantling mattresses and separating recyclable materials Carrying out manual handling duties in a physically demanding environment Working towards daily productivity and quality targets Using an iPad to complete basic checklists and inspections when required Maintaining a safe, organised working area within the recycling facility This is a hands-on role in an industrial environment, and the work can be dusty and physically demanding, so candidates must be comfortable with manual work throughout the shift.
