Recycling Operative

We are seeking a dedicated Recycling Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sorting, processing, and managing recyclable materials in an efficient and safe manner. The ideal applicant will possess mechanical knowledge and be capable of heavy lifting, ensuring smooth operation of recycling processes. Duties Operate recycling machinery and equipment safely and efficiently. Sort recyclable materials according to company standards and environmental regulations. Load and unload materials, often requiring heavy lifting. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area to ensure safety and efficiency. Conduct routine inspections of machinery and report any faults or issues promptly. Assist in the optimisation of recycling processes to improve productivity. Follow health and safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents or injuries. Qualifications Previous experience or knowledge of mechanical systems is desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, with physical strength and stamina. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Good understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to industrial environments. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
