Bring people and opportunity togetherAre you a confident relationship-builder who thrives in a fast-moving environment?
We’re looking for an energetic and highly organised Contract Recruiter to join Pertemps in Leicester. Working closely with one of our key distribution clients, you’ll become the driving force behind attracting, recruiting and supporting a reliable workforce that keeps their operation moving.
This is much more than filling vacancies. You’ll build strong relationships, understand changing workforce demands and deliver a recruitment service that candidates, workers and the client can genuinely rely on.
What you’ll be doing:

  • No two days will be the same. You’ll take ownership of the end-to-end recruitment journey, including:
  • Creating engaging recruitment campaigns to attract high-quality candidates
  • Proactively sourcing talent through job boards, social media, referrals and local networks
  • Screening, interviewing and selecting candidates for current and future vacancies
  • Working closely with the onsite team to understand forecasts and workforce requirements
  • Coordinating recruitment campaigns, inductions and assessment centres
  • Managing candidate availability and ensuring shifts are effectively supported
  • Completing right-to-work checks, pre-employment screening and compliance processes
  • Providing ongoing worker care, including support with attendance, welfare and payroll queries
  • Building trusted relationships with candidates, colleagues and client stakeholders
  • Monitoring service levels, recruitment activity and key performance indicators
  • Using data and market insight to continuously improve attraction, retention and service delivery
As this position supports a busy local distribution operation, you may also help monitor drivers’ working hours, availability and compliance, providing coaching and support where required.
What we’re looking for:
You may already work in recruitment, account management, sales, customer service, logistics or a fast-paced operational environment. Recruitment experience would be valuable, but it isn’t essential—full training will be provided.
What matters most is that you are:
  • An engaging and confident communicator
  • Naturally proactive, resourceful and solutions-focused
  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable balancing several priorities at once
  • Resilient and calm when working under pressure
  • Commercially aware and focused on delivering results
  • Confident working independently while contributing to a wider team
  • Able to build strong relationships with people at every level
  • Passionate about providing an inclusive and positive candidate experience
  • Flexible and willing to support out-of-hours escalations and occasional weekend cover during peak periods
