About you

If you are an experienced Recruitment Consultant who enjoys winning new business as much as you enjoy filling jobs, I think this could be worth a conversation.

We are looking for a 360 Recruitment Consultant to join our White Collar Freelance division in our South Manchester office.

This is a role for someone who can pick up the phone, open doors and win new accounts. You will have the freedom to develop your own client base while also working with an established recruitment business and a specialist construction market.

You might currently be running a successful temporary recruitment desk and want more opportunity to grow it. You may already work in construction recruitment. We would also consider someone from another recruitment sector if you can demonstrate that you know how to win new clients and build genuine commercial relationships.

Your experience

You will need proven 360 recruitment experience and, most importantly, a track record of winning new accounts.

You should be comfortable prospecting for new clients, picking up the phone, arranging meetings, understanding a client's requirements and turning that conversation into a genuine recruitment opportunity.

Experience running a temporary recruitment desk would be particularly relevant because the White Collar Freelance division is focused on supplying freelance construction professionals.

You may already have experience recruiting Project Managers, Site Managers, Contracts Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Engineers or other white collar construction professionals. That would be useful, although it is not essential.

What is essential is that you can demonstrate that you can generate new business rather than relying entirely on existing vacancies and accounts.

If you have come from another recruitment sector and have a strong 360 background with a proven ability to win new accounts, we would still like to hear from you.

What you will be doing with your experience

You will be responsible for developing and growing your own client base within our White Collar Freelance division.

That means identifying target construction businesses, speaking to decision makers, arranging meetings and understanding where their freelance recruitment requirements are likely to come from.

Once you win an account, you will manage the full recruitment process. You will take the brief, source and qualify candidates, manage the process with the client and ultimately place the right freelance professional into the role.

You will be expected to build relationships rather than simply send CVs. We want clients to see you as someone who understands their business and can help them find the right people when they need them.

You will also have the opportunity to develop existing relationships and grow accounts over time, giving you the chance to build a strong and valuable freelance desk.

This is a genuine 360 recruitment position, so if you enjoy the combination of business development, candidate management and closing placements, you will have plenty of opportunity to make your mark.

About the business

Rogers McHugh Recruitment is a specialist construction recruitment business based in South Manchester.

Our White Collar Freelance division focuses on supplying experienced construction professionals to contractors across the UK.

We are looking for someone who wants to be part of growing that division rather than simply inheriting a desk and maintaining the status quo.

Your salary will be between £28,000 and £35,000 depending on your recruitment sector experience and proven track record.
