Mind BLMK works across our communities to support positive mental health and wellbeing. Working closely with a range of partners, we offer a number of activities from our wellbeing centres and local venues to make a difference to the mental health and wellbeing of people in Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes, and our aim is to make sure that no-one has to face a mental health problem alone. Job title: Recovery Worker Post no: 667 Working base: Luton Wellbeing Centre, Dumfries Street, Luton, LU1 5BP Contract: Permanent Salary: £24,454.04 per annum FTE (£13,879.32 per annum actual for 21 hours per week) Hours: 21 hours / 4 days per week Working pattern: The core working pattern is Monday 10.00 am-3.00 pm Wednesday 10.00 am-4.00 pm Thursday 10.00 am-3.00 pm Friday 10.00 am-3.00 pm About the Role Are you passionate about helping people build confidence, strengthen their wellbeing and feel more connected to their community? Join Mind BLMK as a Recovery Worker and play a hands-on role in supporting adults experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. You will create welcoming opportunities for people to talk, connect and move forward. From facilitating drop-ins and wellbeing groups to holding one-to-one conversations and developing wellbeing action plans, your work will help people identify their strengths, access the right support and take practical steps towards getting well and staying well.
