Medical Receptionist - SW15

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Medical Receptionist to join a healthcare service based in SW15, specialising in mental health and rehabilitation services.

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous healthcare experience who is confident dealing with patients and working in a sensitive healthcare environment.

• Location: SW15

• Hours: Approximately 32 hours per week

• Pay: -14.50 per hour

• Contract: Temporary to Permanent

• Start Date: ASAP

• Additional information: Must be able to pass a DBS check

• Welcoming patients and visitors in a friendly, professional and approachable manner.

• Managing incoming calls, responding to enquiries and directing calls appropriately.

• Booking and managing appointments.

• Maintaining accurate patient records and updating systems.

• Supporting the wider team with general administrative duties.

• Handling sensitive and confidential information appropriately.

• Providing a calm, professional and understanding service to patients accessing mental health and rehabilitation support.

• Previous healthcare experience is essential.

• Previous medical reception or healthcare administration experience is desirable.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• A compassionate, patient and understanding approach when dealing with individuals accessing mental health and rehabilitation services.

• The ability to remain calm and professional in sensitive or challenging situations.

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

• An understanding of the importance of confidentiality within a healthcare setting.

The ideal candidate will be friendly, approachable and professional, with previous healthcare experience and the confidence to support patients in a sensitive environment. They must be empathetic, organised and comfortable working with individuals accessing mental health and rehabilitation services.
