Job Title: Receptionist (Temporary)
Hours: Thursdays and Fridays 9:00–17:00
Additional Cover: Monday–Friday when primary receptionist is on leave
Pay Rate: £13 per hour

Job Description
We are recruiting on behalf of a vibrant sports club looking for a receptionist on a temporary basis. This role is essential in ensuring a welcoming and efficient front-of-house experience for all visitors, members, and service users.
As the first point of contact, you will play a key role in maintaining smooth day-to-day operations within the club, supporting management teams, and ensuring reception standards are upheld at all times.

Key Responsibilities

- Act as the face of the sports club, welcoming visitors and service users in a professional and personable manner.
- Handle all inbound telephone calls, directing them to the appropriate staff or departments.
- Check and confirm availability of sports pitches for bookings and enquiries.
- Monitor the enquiries inbox, responding where appropriate or forwarding messages to relevant team members.
- Maintain close and constant communication with the Events Manager, General Manager, Sports Club Managers, and other key staff.
- Regularly check and replenish leaflets and promotional materials displayed at reception.
- Ensure coffee stations in the reception area remain clean, stocked, and fully operational.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and presentable reception area at all times, upholding high appearance standards in line with the club’s expectations.

- Confident using Windows-based computer systems and general office software.
- Someone flexible, adaptable, and willing to take on varied responsibilities as needed.
- Previous experience in a sports club, gym, or leisure reception environment is desirable but not essential.
