Early Years Teaching Assistant 1:1 (Reception) Shepherd s Bush, West London Full-time Term-time only Immediate startWe are currently recruiting for an Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Shepherd s Bush. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity supporting a pre-verbal child with Autism (ASC) on a 1:1 basis within a reception class.The RoleProvide dedicated 1:1 support for a pre-verbal pupil with ASCSupport communication using AAC strategies (e.g. PECS, Makaton)Work within the EYFS framework to support learning through playLiaise with the class teacher, SENCo, and external professionalsTrack progress and contribute to EHCP targetsSupport emotional regulation, engagement, and independenceThe Ideal CandidateExperience working in Nursery or Reception settingsStrong understanding of Early Years (EYFS)Experience supporting children with ASC, particularly pre-verbal pupilConfident using or willing to learn AAC strategiesCalm, patient, and proactive approachRelevant Level 2/3 qualification (desirable, not essential)The SchoolInclusive, supportive primary school within a reputable MATStrong SEN provision and experienced leadership teamPositive, nurturing environment with excellent staff supportEasily accessible West London locationThis is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about Early Years SEN who is looking to make a real impact in a supportive setting.
