# 1:1 Reception Teaching Assistant - Hall Green Location: Hall Green, Birmingham Role: 1:1 Teaching Assistant Year Group: Reception Start Date: ASAP Duration: Ongoing, at least until the end of the academic year Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday Aspire People are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Reception-aged child at a welcoming primary school in Hall Green . This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or SEND professional who is confident supporting children with physical needs and personal care . The child has a spinal condition which affects movement from below the hips and uses a wheelchair. The successful candidate will provide close 1:1 support throughout the school day, helping the child to access learning, participate in classroom activities and enjoy all aspects of school life alongside their peers. Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate must be comfortable providing physical support , including assisting with wheelchair transfers and other manual handling requirements. Previous experience supporting children with physical disabilities or complex needs is essential. Manual handling training can be provided where required, but candidates must already have relevant experience working closely with children who require physical support.
