Job Description:
- Deliver targetedandnbsp;reading interventionsandnbsp;and support programmes for pupils acrossandnbsp;EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- Useandnbsp;diagnostic assessmentsandnbsp;to identify reading barriers and tailor instruction to individual needs
- Promote aandnbsp;reading-rich environmentandnbsp;and foster a love of books and storytelling throughout the school
- Collaborate with class teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to embedandnbsp;evidence-based literacy strategies
- Monitor and track pupil progress using both qualitative and quantitative data
- Support the development ofandnbsp;phonics,andnbsp;comprehension,andnbsp;vocabulary acquisition, andandnbsp;reading fluency
- Contribute to whole-school literacy initiatives, includingandnbsp;reading corners,andnbsp;book fairs, andandnbsp;parent workshops
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience supporting pupils withandnbsp;reading difficulties, includingandnbsp;dyslexiaandnbsp;andandnbsp;EAL learners
- Be a reflective and adaptable practitioner with strongandnbsp;differentiationandnbsp;andandnbsp;intervention planningandnbsp;skills
- Demonstrate a commitment toandnbsp;inclusive practice,andnbsp;safeguarding, andandnbsp;pupil wellbeing
- Possess excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- Be enthusiastic aboutandnbsp;professional development,andnbsp;collaborative working, andandnbsp;literacy innovation
