Reach & Counterbalance FLT Operative - BOTH LICENCES REQUIRED
Location: Darlington
Pay Rate: -14.84 per hour
Hours: Monday-Thursday 9:30am-5:00pm | Friday 9:00am-5:00pm
Contract: Temp Ongoing

IMPORTANT: Applicants must hold valid, in-date Reach Truck AND Counterbalance Forklift Truck licences accredited by RTITB, ITSSAR, AITT or NPORS. Previous warehouse experience is also essential. Unfortunately, we cannot consider applicants with expired licences, in-house licences only, candidates without both licences, or candidates with no warehouse experience.

The Role
We are recruiting a Reach & Counterbalance FLT Operative to join a well-established warehouse operation in Darlington. This is a hands-on role combining forklift operation with order picking, stock handling and general warehouse duties in support of the efficient and accurate dispatch of customer orders.

This is not a forklift-only role. The successful candidate will divide their time between operating Reach and Counterbalance trucks, order picking, stock handling and general warehouse duties. Applicants must be comfortable carrying out manual warehouse tasks as part of their daily responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating Reach and Counterbalance FLTs safely and efficiently
• Picking and preparing orders accurately for dispatch
• Handling products weighing up to 20kg
• Loading and unloading deliveries
• Moving, storing and replenishing stock throughout the warehouse
• Maintaining accurate stock control and inventory records
• Ensuring high standards of health, safety and housekeeping
• Working collaboratively with warehouse and dispatch teams

Essential Requirements

• Valid, in-date Reach Truck licence - Essential
• Valid, in-date Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence - Essential
• Both licences must be externally accredited (RTITB, ITSSAR, AITT or NPORS)
• Previous warehouse experience including picking, packing, goods handling and general warehouse duties - Essential
• Previous experience operating Reach and Counterbalance FLTs in a warehouse environment
• Applications from candidates with expired licences, in-house licences only, without both licences, or without warehouse experience cannot be considered
• Comfortable with manual handling and lifting up to 20kg
• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
