Supply Desk are currently seeking a flexible and passionate RE Teacher to join one of our large co-educational partner schools in Maidstone. This full-time role will begin in September 2025 and run until at least the Christmas break, with full teacher responsibilities expected throughout the assignment.
About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to teach Religious Education across Key Stages 3 and 4 in a school that values both academic progress and student wellbeing. You will play a key role in delivering a broad and engaging RE curriculum while supporting students in their understanding of diverse beliefs and ethical viewpoints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and inclusive RE lessons that promote critical thinking and empathy.
- Plan, prepare, and assess student work in line with curriculum standards.
- Maintain a positive and structured learning environment.
- Take full classroom responsibility including marking, reporting, and attending department meetings.
- Support students with varied learning needs and abilities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Humanities department.
What Weandrsquo;re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in Religious Education or a related field.
- Experience teaching RE at secondary level, ideally across KS3 and KS4.
- A strong classroom presence and effective behaviour management skills.
- A flexible and resilient approach to teaching in a supply context.
- A positive, empathetic, and student-centred teaching style.
- A valid enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
