As a Religious Studies Teacher, you will lead engaging and intellectually stimulating lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching Key Stage 5 based on experience. Youandrsquo;ll foster critical thinking and inspire students to explore diverse worldviews, ethical questions, and philosophical concepts.
About the Role:
- Engage: Design and deliver thought-provoking lessons that ignite curiosity about world religions, ethics, and modern-day issues.
- Guide: Support students in developing critical thinking skills and exploring their own values and beliefs
- Cultivate: Build a classroom environment that prioritizes respectful discussion, empathy, and open-mindedness
- Collaborate: Work as part of a dedicated team, sharing resources and ideas while contributing positively to the wider school community
The ideal candidate will:
- A strong passion for Religious Studies and a commitment to guiding students through thought-provoking and meaningful discussions
- For Early Career Teachers (ECTs): Successful completion or near completion of Initial Teacher Training (ITT)
- For unqualified applicants: A solid academic background in Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy, or a related field, along with a willingness to develop teaching practice through structured support and training
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and supportive learning environment
- Genuine enthusiasm for encouraging student engagement, personal reflection, and academic progress
