Supply Desk is currently seeking an RE Teacher to join a respected secondary school in Aylesbury. This school is dedicated to creating an engaging and supportive learning atmosphere, offering robust staff support and fostering a culture of curiosity, respect, and personal growth among students.
About the Role:
- Plan and deliver dynamic Religious Education lessons for GCSE and A-Level, in line with the KS4 and KS5 curriculum
- Inspire students to investigate world religions, ethical questions, and philosophical ideas
- Foster a classroom culture that promotes respect, open dialogue, and critical thinking
- Employ a variety of formative and summative assessments to monitor and support student progress
- Actively contribute to the school community through assemblies, interfaith initiatives, and cross-curricular collaborations
The ideal candidate will:
- Possess a relevant teaching qualification with QTS (such as PGCE, B.Ed., or BA Hons), or an equivalent; applications from unqualified teachers with strong subject knowledge are also welcome
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Previous experience teaching Religious Education at the secondary school level
- Dedicated to planning and delivering engaging, reflective, and inspiring RE lessons
