About the Role
A secondary school in Southampton is looking for a Religious Education Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time role, initially long-term, with the chance to become permanent if it''s the right fit for both sides.
You''ll be teaching RE to students in Key Stages 3 and 4. The school is looking for someone who can make the subject meaningful and relevant, helping students explore different beliefs and values in a respectful and thoughtful way.

What You''ll Be Doing
Teaching RE to classes in Years 7 to 11
Planning lessons that encourage open discussion and thoughtful reflection
Creating a classroom environment where students feel safe expressing different views
Supporting students of all abilities and helping them achieve their best
Working with the wider department to share resources and ideas
Taking part in school events or contributing to tutor time and assemblies if you''re keen

The school is a mixed secondary for students aged 11-16. It''s based in Southampton, with good local transport links. The staff team is friendly, and there''s a supportive leadership structure in place.
